Job summary

Primetals Technologies USA in New London, OH is seeking CNC Machinists to operate CNC mills and other machines. You will read drawings, set up tools, monitor tolerances and perform basic maintenance to ensure quality parts. Prior CNC experience is preferred and safety compliance is a priority.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Classification and base pay rate will be dependent upon skillset and prior experience. Prefer experience with CNC Machining.
• Crane/Forklift – In-house training provided to obtain certification.
• Proper use of Safety Equipment such as Safety boots, hard hat, safety glasses and gloves.

Responsibilities

• Operates CNC machinery that mills, punches, drills, broaches or reams metal and/or plastic parts.
• Makes tool adjustments to adhere to established specifications.
• Works from drawings and written instructions to create replacement and new parts.
• Work is routine and machining is performed to ordinary tolerances.
• Requires basic knowledge of metals and measurements used in machining processes.
• Monitors machine to ensure it is not malfunctioning; performs housekeeping.
• Performs daily maintenance check of machine.
• Other work may be assigned at Management’s discretion.

• Makes tool adjustments to adhere to established specifications
• Works from drawings and written instructions to create replacement and new parts in making repairs to metal parts
• Work is routine and machining is performed to ordinary tolerances
• Requires basic knowledge of various metals and of measurements used in machining processes
• Monitors work to ensure that machine is not malfunctioningPerforms housekeeping of machine and work area
• Performs daily maintenance check of machine
• Other work may be assigned at Management’s discretion

Education and Experience
