Responsibilities
  1. Set up and operate CNC machines (mills, lathes) to manufacture parts to precise specifications.
  2. Interpret blueprints, process routers, and work instructions to determine machining requirements.
  3. Perform machine setups, including selection and installation of tooling, fixtures, and materials.
  4. Make necessary offsets and tool changes during production to maintain dimensional accuracy.
  5. Monitor machining operations and make real-time adjustments to ensure parts meet quality standards.
  6. Conduct in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools.
  7. Create and/or edit CNC programs to improve cycle times, part quality, and machine efficiency.
  8. Perform routine maintenance on machines and report issues requiring additional repair or service.
  9. Communicate effectively with supervisors, programmers, and quality control personnel regarding production issues or improvements.
  10. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with company safety policies and OSHA standards.
  11. Follow company policies, procedures, and work instructions to ensure consistency and compliance.
  12. Assist fellow machinists with troubleshooting and support as needed.
  13. Perform various other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management to support production goals.
