Job summary

Alart Machine Corp. is a Houston-based precision machining shop seeking an experienced CNC Mill Machinist. You will read blueprints, set up and run CNC mills, select tooling, and hold tight tolerances from setup through finished parts.

Knowledge of Haas controls and CAD/CAM files is preferred. This position offers a hands-on environment with a close-knit team and opportunities to contribute to quality craftsmanship in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a CNC Mill Machinist.
• Ability to read blueprints and GD&T.
• Experience with CNC mills, lathes, or machining centers.
• Knowledge of speeds, feeds, and tooling selection.
• Capable of setting up and running mills from setup to finish.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines to produce precision parts.
• Read blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD/CAM files.
• Select tooling, fixtures, and cutting parameters for each job.
• Perform in-process quality inspections using precision measuring instruments.
• Troubleshoot and adjust machine offsets to maintain tolerances.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and report equipment issues.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to meet deadlines.

Alart Machine Corp. is looking for an experienced CNC Mill Machinist who knows their way around a machine shop and takes pride in producing quality parts. We need someone who can read prints, perform their own setups, select tooling, make offsets, hold tight tolerances, and independently run CNC mills from setup through finished part. CNC programming experience is highly preferred and will move qualified candidates to the top of our hiring consideration. • Perform in-process quality inspections using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges)
• Troubleshoot and adjust machine offsets to maintain tight tolerances
• Perform routine machine maintenance and report equipment issues
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to meet deadlines and quality standards

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a CNC Mill Machinist.
• Proficiency with CNC mills, lathes, or machining centers (Haas, or similar controls)
• Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing specifications
• Experience with precision measuring tools and quality control processes
• Strong understanding of speeds, feeds, and tooling selection
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality, accurate work
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced shop environment
