Responsibilities include:

1. Producing machined parts by setting up and operating CNC machines, maintaining quality and safety standards, keeping records, and maintaining equipment and supplies. Strong conventional skills are also required.
2. Background must include experience with CNC equipment, lathes, mills, drills, grinders, vertical mills, and programming capabilities.
3. Operating CNC machinery within productivity guidelines.
4. Setting up CNC machinery to produce precision parts.
5. Troubleshooting CNC machine processes.
6. Performing routine operational checks and repairs on mechanical equipment and machinery.
7. Handling, installing, and using raw materials and related fluids.
8. Inspecting parts for quality and conformance with specifications.
9. Developing knowledge of tool holders and boring bars for CNC machining.
10. Fitting and assembling parts into complete assemblies.
11. Verifying dimensions and alignment of assemblies.
12. Determining material removal amounts.
13. Monitoring and controlling feed rate and speed.
14. Ensuring workpieces are properly lubricated or cooled.
15. Converting path, speed, and feed information into machine instructions.
16. Modifying programs as needed and using calipers, micrometers, gauges.

Qualifications include:

• High school diploma or equivalent work experience (1 year).
• 5+ years of experience operating Mazak CNC Lathes / Mills with SMOOTH Controls.
• Organized with the ability to work independently.
• Good communication skills, ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Ability to operate required equipment.

Physical requirements:

• Physical activity including pulling, pushing, bending, standing, sitting, walking.
• Lifting up to 45 pounds.
