Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate Manual Machines and CNC Machines, including lathes and mills.
  • Interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine the appropriate setup and machining operations.
  • Monitor the machining process to ensure parts are produced to drawing and customer specifications.
  • Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify dimensions and tolerance.
  • Make necessary adjustments to machines and programs to maintain product quality.
  • Work closely with Leadman/Supervisor to ensure priorities are in line and adhere to instructions given each day.

How You’ll Make An Impact
  • Set up and operate Manual Machines and CNC Machines, including lathes and mills
  • Interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine the appropriate setup and machining operations.
  • Monitor the machining process to ensure parts are produced to drawing and customer specifications.
  • Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify dimensions and tolerance
  • Make necessary adjustments to machines and programs to maintain product quality.

What You Bring
  • High school diploma or GED that can be verified is required; technical or vocational training in machining is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Machinist
  • Strong understanding of machining principles, techniques, and best practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail; Ability to work independently and as part of a team and have excellent communication and organizational skills.
