Precision Castparts is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to set up and operate medium to large horizontal CNC lathes, ensuring components are machined to tight tolerances per prints and customer specifications. You will read technical drawings, measure parts, and coordinate with overhead crane operations on a fast-paced shop floor.

Primary Duties And Responsibilities

• Operate CNC lathes proficiently.
• Utilize overhead cranes as needed for material handling.
• Use precision measuring equipment such as calipers and micrometers to ensure parts meet specified tolerances.
• Read and interpret prints to ensure adherence to customer requirements.

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience operating medium to large horizontal CNC lathes.
• Preferably experienced with Mazak machines and Mazatrol controls.
• Ability to perform basic programming using Mazatrol and Fanuc systems.
• Experience working with long, tubular components and maintaining tolerances of +/-0.001".
• Familiarity with nickel, titanium super-alloys, carbon, and stainless steels.
• Proficient in MS Office; competent in basic computer skills.

Work Conditions

• Manufacturing floor environment with exposure to machinery and equipment noise.
• Regular use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Potential exposure to metalworking fluids and chemicals

HOURS: 2nd Shift (2 pm -10 pm)
3rd Shift (10 pm - 6 am)
