Job summary

Amcor is looking for a dedicated team member to oversee quality control and personnel coordination in Henderson, Nevada. You will ensure that products meet safety and quality standards while managing personnel schedules and attendance records.

  • Ensure proper identification of sample stacks.
  • Clarify standards of acceptability for produced parts.
  • Coordinate with Mold Techs for quality control.
  • Respond to QANs for non-conforming products.
  • Ensure timely responses to machine alarms.
  • Monitor machine conditions for issues.
  • Provide guidance to personnel for a harmonious work environment.
  • Schedule and approve personnel attendance.
  • Perform employee evaluations and maintain training records.

Job Description
  • Verify that there is a part sample at the packer table of every machine that is running, and that any sample stacks are sufficiently identified, and are not held together with box tape.
  • Ensure there are no premade boxes or boxes on the bare floor. Also ensure there are no open boxes of product on any machine that is not currently running.
  • Clarify standards of acceptability for all features and requirements of the produced parts, including subjective elements.
  • Coordinate with Mold Techs and QA to control and correct non-conforming product.
  • Respond to QANs generated for non-conforming product with root cause and corrective action.
  • Ensure that Mold Techs respond to machine alarms/quality calls in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate mold/machine cleanings with Mold Techs.
  • Monitor abnormal machine conditions with Mold Techs (i.e. excessive oil leaks, mold slamming, excessive drooling of plastic) and correct the conditions, if possible.
  • Use Work Order system to rectify mold problems with tooling and machine problems with maintenance in a timely manner to eliminate excessive downtime.
  • Provide instructions, guidance and assistance to all personnel to address issues and create a harmonious work environment.
  • Ensure that personnel breaks are given in a timely manner and that break duration is not exceeded.
  • Schedule shift personnel and coordinate with other shifts and departments to ensure coverage.
  • Monitor and approve personnel attendance using the Kronos time keeping system.
  • Approve requested time off and coordinate coverage to ensure no loss of production.
  • Perform employee evaluations.
  • Ensure that all training records, including for staffing agency personnel, are complete and up to date.
  • Issue Employee Warning Reports, if necessary, for attendance and work rule violations.
  • Complete incident reports on EHS Global Data Center website when necessary.
  • Input production data and notes to Mold Shift Report and email report to department managers.
  • Input production data and notes to WebEFF website.
  • Perform any and all job assignments that the employee has been trained to do or is able to accomplish.
