Job summary

Boggs Fabricating Solutions Inc. in Crawfordsville, IN, seeks a CNC Mill & Lathe Machinist/Setup Operator to set up and run CNC mills, lathes, and Swiss machines. You will load programs, verify tooling, proof out cycles, and maintain part quality in a fast-paced shop.

Ideal candidates have experience in CNC setup, reading blueprints and GD&T, and a strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently or in a team. Starting pay $25/hour or higher based on experience.

Qualifications

• Previous CNC machining, setup, or machine shop experience preferred.
• Experience setting up CNC mills and/or lathes is strongly preferred.
• Experience with Swiss CNC machining is a plus.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings, setup sheets, and work instructions.
• Comfortable using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring equipment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and Swiss machines.
• Set up workholding, tooling, tool offsets, and work coordinates according to job requirements.
• Load and verify existing CNC programs and make necessary setup adjustments.
• Proof out programs and safely verify tool paths, clearances, and machine operation.
• Set work and tool offsets and make adjustments to maintain part quality and dimensions.
• Perform tool changes and compensate for tool wear during production.
• Monitor machining operations and make adjustments to maintain part quality and consistency.
• Measure and inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection equipment.
• Read and follow blueprints, setup sheets, work instructions, and basic GD&T.
• Troubleshoot machining, tooling, workholding, and setup issues.
• Maintain machines, tooling, and a clean, organized work area.
• Communicate tooling, programming, quality, or process concerns to supervisors or programmers.
• Document production and basic maintenance activities as required.

Boggs Fabricating Solutions Inc. is a precision machining shop producing high-quality racing components for full-scale and small-scale racing industries. We are seeking a CNC Mill & Lathe Machinist/Setup Operator to join our machine shop. This is a hands-on role focused on setting up and operating CNC mills, CNC lathes, and Swiss Machines, running production parts, maintaining quality, and supporting efficient shop operations.

Our equipment includes Brother CNC mills, Doosan CNC lathes, and multiple Swiss CNC lathes. The ideal candidate is comfortable setting up jobs from existing programs, setting tooling and offsets, proofing out programs, and making adjustments to maintain quality and production efficiency.

Starting pay is $25/hour or higher, based on experience.
