Job summary

Staffmark Group is seeking a CNC Machinist in Conroe, TX to program, set up, and operate CNC equipment producing precision components. Competitive pay and weekday schedule with potential overtime.

Candidates should have 3–5 years of experience, be able to read blueprints and GD&T, and be familiar with Mastercam and CAD/CAM tools. Safety and quality are emphasized in a modern manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years related experience.
• Experience operating, setting up, or programming CNC machine tools.
• Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
• Knowledge of precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, indicators, and gauges.
• Understanding of machining principles, tooling, feeds, speeds, and material properties.
• Strong attention to detail, mathematical ability, and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Mill experience, horizontal and vertical (4 axis).
• Familiar with Mastercam
• Understanding of SFM and IPT
• Understanding of GD&T
• Basic Computer Skills

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe environment and ensure employees work safely.

• Machine all parts in proper order and set up machines in the work area.
• Manage aggressive workloads.
• Troubleshoot problems and assist others with machining issues.
• Start and observe machine operations to detect malfunctions.
• Follow schedule workflow and identify inefficiencies in manufacturing processes.
• Fill out setup sheets and document operations.
• Follow all quality and safety policies.

Job Duties

• Accountable for providing a safe environment & ensuring employees work safe

• To Machine all part in proper order To be able to set up all machine in work area

• To be able to troubleshoot problems and to be able help other with machining problems

• To be able to make mass edits to programs
• To be able to run multiple machines
• To be able to write complex programs at the machine without supervision
• Able to help other to reach production outlooks
• To start and observes operations of the machine to detect malfunction
• Follow schedule work flow through the shop Identify inefficiencies in all manufacturing processes
• To be able to fill out set-up sheets To start and observe operations of the machine to detect malfunctions.

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical school, machining certificate, or CNC programming education preferred.

Experience Requirements

• Experience operating, setting up, or programming CNC machine tools.
• Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
• Knowledge of precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, indicators, and gauges.
• Understanding of machining principles, tooling, feeds, speeds, and material properties.
• Strong attention to detail, mathematical ability, and commitment to quality workmanship.
• 3-5 years related experience
• Mill experience, horizontal and vertical (4 axis).
• Familiar with Mastercam
• Has tools, measuring and hand tools
• Understanding of SFM and IPT, (ability to know how to adjust tools for optimum performance).
• Understanding of GD&T
• Basic Computer Skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience with CNC mills, lathes, machining centers, or multi-axis equipment is preferred.
• Experience editing CNC programs, setting tooling offsets, and performing machine setups is beneficial.
• Familiarity with G-code, CAD/CAM software, Haas, Mazak, Okuma, Fanuc, or similar CNC controls is considered an asset.
• Individuals who demonstrate strong troubleshooting abilities, continuous learning, and commitment to precision manufacturing are well positioned for success as a CNC Machinist.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work around machining equipment throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift materials, tooling, and components weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Manual dexterity to safely operate CNC machinery and precision measuring equipment.
• Ability to work safely around moving machinery while following established safety procedures.
