Job summary

SMS group USA is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to set up and operate CNC machines safely to produce quality parts. You will read blueprints, edit G-code, and work with Renishaw probing in a safety-first environment.

Ideal candidates have technical training or 3+ years in machining, understand metric/standard conversions, and can train others while maintaining an organized workspace.

Qualifications

• Technical training or 3+ years' experience programming and operating CNC/machining.
• Ability to convert metric and standard measurements.
• Basic Trigonometry functions.
• Ability to read precise measuring tools and blueprints.
• Ability to learn critical processes and operate in a safety-first environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines safely and efficiently to produce quality parts.
• Read and interpret assembly drawings and blueprints.
• Edit G-code as needed for part specifications.
• Rig heavy machinery and equipment for overhead crane operations.
• Train new or other employees to perform job responsibilities.
• Maintain an organized and clean work area and follow safety precautions.

Summary

The CNC Machinist will set up and operate CNC Machines safely, and efficiently to produce quality parts in a safety first environment.

The Right Candidate Will

• Be a safety minded person who enjoys hands on work.
• Ability to set up and operate both CNC and manual machinery for use in metal working applications.
• Understanding and able to edit G code as needed
• Integrated Renishaw probing
• Complete SOP travelers and document daily activities.
• Interpret assembly and blueprints drawings.
• Follow proper safety precautions.
• Must be courteous and work well with others.
• Ability to properly rig heavy machinery and equipment for use with overhead crane.
• Ability to train new or other employees to perform same job responsibilities
• Maintain an organized and clean work area.
• Drug free, safety minded and maintain an excellent attendance record

What You'll Need
