Job summary

Ppswork in Ohio is seeking a CNC Mill Machinist for our new facility. Earn $25.00-$30.00 to start with a 4-day workweek and a strong team environment. Benefits include 401K, paid vacation, holiday pay and medical benefits (dental & vision).

You will set up jobs, edit programs, measure parts, and maintain equipment while upholding AIM quality standards and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Ability to set up jobs using routers, blueprints, and specifications.
• Create and edit CNC programs; set tool offsets and verify setups.
• Proficient in reading blueprints and applying GD&T.
• Knowledge of standard measuring instruments and calibration practices.
• Experience with machine controllers and basic CNC troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Set up jobs using routers, blueprints and specs.
• Create/edit CNC programs; load and verify tooling and offsets.
• Verify settings by inspecting first-run parts and samples.
• Inspect equipment prior to use to ensure good condition.
• Maintain safe operations by following procedures and regulations.
• Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot malfunctions.
• Document actions and communicate needs across shifts.
• Complete production and quality logs.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

1. Works with the engineering department to set up jobs using all pertinent information such as routers, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, and specifications.

2. Create programs, edits existing programs, completes machine setup, and operates machine through loading and verifying programs, setting work and tool offsets, compensations, and conditional switches; calculating requirements.

3. Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample workpieces; adhering to AIM quality standards.

4. Inspects equipment prior to use to verify equipment is in good working order.

5. Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.

6. Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.

7. Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.

8. Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Machine Set-Up. Ability to make edits and adjustments in programs.
• Proficient in blueprint reading and mechanical knowledge
• Knowledge and experience with standard measuring instruments
• General understanding of machine controllers
• Excellent understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Ability to use hand and power tools
