Job summary

Orchid MPS Holdings, LLC is seeking a CNC Machinist in Arab, Alabama to operate multi-axis CNC machines and contribute to the production of medical components. You will run Lathes, Mills, and Plunge machines, ensuring quality and safety while meeting production goals.

The role requires reading blueprints, using measuring tools, and maintaining documentation. Lean manufacturing experience and prior medical device manufacturing are preferred. Training will be provided.

Qualifications

• The candidate should have a High School or Equivalent diploma (Preferred).
• Lean Manufacturing Experience (Preferred).
• Experience in Medical Device Manufacturing (Preferred).
• 1+ Years of Experience Operating Machining Equipment in a Manufacturing Environment (Preferred).
• Experience operating CNC Mills or Lathes independently (Required).
• Experience using measuring tools (Calipers, height gage, indicator) (Required).
• Experience reading basic blueprints (Required).

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines (Mills or Lathes) and perform basic machining functions to produce parts.
• Run multiple machines simultaneously and monitor program performance.
• Complete shop work orders, inspection documentation, and daily maintenance sheets.
• Make off sets and adjustments with supervision while ensuring quality and safety.
• Adhere to Quality Management System procedures and participate in required training.

SHIFT ALA - Shift 2 ($3) (United States of America - Alabama)

A BRIEF OVERVIEW

The CNC Machinist position contributes to the production of medical devices by operating multi-axis CNC machines, with the ability to identify X, Y, Z and 0 coordinates. They are responsible for running multiple and varying CNC machines simultaneously, such as Lathes, Mills, and Plunge machines.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• The Machinist, CNC reports directly to the area Supervisor.
• Performs basic machining functions to produce parts.
• Operates multiple machines simultaneously.
• Monitors the machine to ensure proper program performance.
• Completes shop work orders, inspection documentation, and daily maintenance sheets.
• Makes off sets and adjustments to machines with moderate supervision.
• Advocates for the health and safety of self, co-workers, customers, and the community.
• Support quality and compliance by adhering to all procedures, work instructions, and forms per the Quality Management Systems (QMS).
• Completes all required training.

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Or Equivalent (Preferred)
