Job summary

Sierra Peaks Corporation seeks an experienced CNC Machinist for our Albuquerque, NM facility. You will set up and run 5-axis mills, program parts with Mastercam, and inspect to GD&T standards. You will read complex drawings and help train fellow machinists in a collaborative, production-focused environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of CNC milling experience (up to 5-axis).
• Mastercam programming experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Experience training or mentoring other machinists is a plus.
• Experience with Haas or Mazak milling machines preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC equipment including 5-axis mills.
• Program parts using Mastercam.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Conduct in-process inspections using inspection equipment.
• Ensure conformity to GD&T and notes.
• Mentor other machinists in production area.
• Use height gauges, calipers and micrometers for measurement.
• Follow shop processes and collaborate on programming/fixturing/inspection.

CNC Machinist

• Must be a US citizen

Sierra Peaks has an opening for an experienced machinist supporting our Albuquerque, NM facility. This individual will be responsible for machining parts of various complexity and materials. The machinist is responsible high accuracy and quality of their parts. They will conduct in-process inspections against the controlled drawings. Candidates need to be able to read and interpret engineering drawings, program using Mastercam, and understand standard dimensioning and GD&T. This candidate will report directly to the Production Manager and work among other machinists and programmers to make various machined parts for both internal and external customers. If you are an experienced machinist with knowledge to share, this position is for you!

Job Responsibilities

• Agility to teach other machinists in the production area

Education and Experience

• 10+ years of experience in CNC milling, up to 5-axis
• Experience training or other machinists is a plus
• Programming experience using Mastercam

• Graduate of CNM machining program a plus
• High School diploma or equivalent
