Aviation Technology Associates (AVTECH Global) seeks a CNC Tech to set up and operate automated machines to fabricate parts, applying shop theory and layout techniques.

This full-time, contract position in Savannah, GA offers pay from $25.66 to $30.17 per hour, plus benefits such as partial health insurance premium coverage, eight paid holidays, per diem, uniforms, 401(k) matching, and a path to direct hire after 90 days.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience ranges from entry level with some experience to two years of related experience or education, including one year with similar automated equipment.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Operate automated CNC machines using existing programs.
• Remove/replace cutting tools and offsets as required; inspect and replace as needed.
• Inspect cut material/part prior to CNC operation to ensure conformity with blueprints and engineering documents.
• Identify material and appropriate cutting tools; set up material and inspect for serviceability.
• Monitor material supply and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Validate preventive maintenance and minor repairs on machines.
• Complete paperwork and other documents as required.
• Comply with 5S and Environmental, Health and Safety requirements.
