Job summary

Williams International in Pontiac, MI is seeking a Machining Cell Specialist to setup and operate CNC lathes and support grinding operations. You will ensure proper tooling, machine maintenance, and adherence to engineering standards.

Responsibilities include set-up and operation of mills, lathes, drills, grinders; inspect parts, maintain records; contribute to throughput and safety; may mentor apprentices.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in reading blueprints, planning documents and production specs.

Responsibilities

• Set-up and operate miscellaneous CNC and/or manual machines (mills, lathes, drills, grinders, etc.).
• Machine parts per engineering and customer specs.
• Perform finishing ops and inspect to meet surface/quality requirements.
• Maintain part identification, records and documentation.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and keep cell organized.
• Support safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Mentor apprentices or team members as needed.
