Diamond Iron Works, Inc. in Lawrence, MA is seeking a dependable CNC Machine Operator to join our steel fabrication team. You will set up, operate, and monitor CNC equipment, read shop drawings, verify dimensions, and help optimize material use.

Training is provided on our fiber-laser and other CNC systems, with emphasis on safety and quality. We value solid CNC fundamentals, good measurement skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn new machines.

Qualifications

• 2 years of CNC machine operation or related fabrication experience.
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately and interpret shop drawings.
• Familiarity with CNC programming, machine setup, or CAD/CAM software.
• Good mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor CNC fabrication equipment.
• Read shop drawings, verify dimensions, and prepare materials for production.

• Assist with cutting layouts, nesting, and efficient material use.
• Check finished parts for accuracy and quality.

Diamond Iron Works is a commercial metal fabrication contractor specializing in structural steel, miscellaneous metals, and specialty fabrication.

We're looking for a dependable, mechanically inclined CNC Machine Operator who enjoys working with equipment, solving problems, and producing quality work.

Our shop operates a variety of CNC equipment, including modern fiber-laser cutting technology. We're looking for someone with solid CNC fundamentals, good measurement skills, and a willingness to learn.

You don't need experience with every machine or software program we use. We'll provide training on our equipment and processes.

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For

• Approximately two years of CNC machine operation or related fabrication experience.
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately and interpret shop drawings.
• Familiarity with CNC programming, machine setup, or CAD/CAM software.
• Good mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• A dependable work ethic and commitment to safe, quality work.
• Willingness to learn new equipment and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to safely handle materials and lift up to 50 pounds.
  

Experience That's Helpful, But Not Required

• Structural steel or miscellaneous metals fabrication.
• CNC plasma, laser, drilling, or plate-processing equipment.
• Peddinghaus machinery.
• CAD/CAM nesting software.
• Forklift or overhead crane operation.

If you have a strong CNC background but haven't worked with structural steel or fiber-laser equipment, we still encourage you to apply.
