CNC Operator Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining CNC machinery to produce high-quality components. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of machining processes. The CNC Operator will work closely with engineers and production staff to ensure that all products meet specifications and quality standards.

Minimum Requirements

• Must have own tools
• Must have knowledge of machine setup and programming

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines, lathes, and stamping presses to fabricate parts according to technical drawings and specifications.
• Program CNC machines using Fanuc or similar logic controllers to optimize production efficiency.
• Can program a Hurco, Okuma, or Fanuc (G code a plus). Can read prints (GD&T).
• Exposer to ISO shop tracking system.
• Conduct quality control checks on finished products to ensure they meet required tolerances and specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the machining process and make necessary adjustments.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.

Experience

• Proven experience as a CNC Operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Familiarity with programming CNC machines.
• Experience operating milling machines, lathes, and stamping presses is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of quality control processes and techniques for ensuring product integrity.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues as they arise.
• A background in welding or fabrication is a plus but not required.
