Busch Vacuum Solutions in Virginia Beach, VA, is seeking a CNC Machine Operator II for the 2nd shift (7:00 PM – 3:30 AM) with training on 1st shift. Targeted pay is $22.00–$25.00 per hour plus a shift differential, depending on qualifications and experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 5 years of CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience setting up CNC machines and making minor program adjustments.
• Experience with precision measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, gauges, and dial indicators.
• Experience with pneumatic and manual hand tools.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills (Word and Excel) required.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC grinding and machining equipment according to work instructions and production requirements.
• Inspect parts visually and dimensionally before, during, and after machining operations.
• Make minor program adjustments and machine offsets as needed to maintain product quality.
• Set up and utilize gauge heads and inspection equipment for high-tolerance sizing applications.
• Adjust machine settings to ensure accuracy and repeatability.
• Dress grinding wheels and replace diamonds when required.
• Deburr completed components and prepare parts for the next manufacturing process.
• Work to extremely close tolerances using digital micrometers, dial indicators, Vernier calipers, and other precision measuring instruments.
• Perform daily preventative maintenance and basic machine upkeep.
• Interpret process sheets, work instructions, and technical documentation.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and other duties as assigned.
