Job summary

Harmonic Drive LLC in Beverly, MA is seeking a skilled machinist to manufacture and inspect high precision parts under general supervision. You will ensure the quality and quantity of work performed and bring CNC experience to the role.

Key duties include setting up and operating CNC machines, interpreting drawings and work instructions, and maintaining production records. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm, with no travel requirements.

Summary/Objective

Responsible for the manufacture and inspection of high precision products of varying complexity under general supervision. Responsible for the quality and quantity of work performed and must have the appropriate level of CNC machining experience required for the job as outlined below.

Essential Functions

• Adhere to Harmonic Drive Shop Employee Expectations as trained
• Set up and operate various CNC machine tools in accordance with company policy, procedures, and time standards.
• Perform various repetitive production machining operations using the ability to read and interpret drawings, sketches, and work instructions.
• Transmit and receive CNC programs, maintain computerized and/or manual production record
• Perform other duties as required.
• Ability to work with colleagues in a professional and cooperative manner.
• Good communication skills, both written and oral, in English

This job operates in a professional manufacturing environment. Employees in this role routinely operate CNC machining equipment, use standard hand tools, gages, measurement equipment, and standard office equipment.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no direct reports.

Physical Demands

• Visual acuity (corrected) to read documents, drawings, instructions and to inspect machined parts
• Stand, move about the shop floor, talk, hear, bend, squat, kneel, and reach with hands and arms.
• Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time hourly position which operates Monday through Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm.

Travel is not required for this role.
