Job summary

Harmonic Drive LLC in Beverly, MA seeks an experienced CNC Machinist to manufacture and inspect high-precision parts. The role requires setting up and operating CNC machines, reading drawings, and ensuring parts meet specifications.

The candidate will inspect parts, maintain production records, and provide on-the-job training while adhering to company policies and safety standards on a Monday–Friday schedule.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Transmit and receive CNC programs and maintain production records.
  • Provide technical assistance and on-the-job training to other employees.
  • Adhere to shop policies and expectations.

Job description

Summary/Objective

Responsible for the manufacture and inspection of high precision products of varying complexity under general supervision. Responsible for the quality and quantity of work performed and must have the appropriate level of CNC machining experience required for the job as outlined below.

Essential Functions
  • Adhere to Harmonic Drive Shop Employee Expectations as trained
  • Set up and operate various CNC machine tools in accordance with company policy, procedures, and time standards.
  • Perform various repetitive production machining operations using the ability to read and interpret drawings, sketches and work instructions.
  • Inspect parts produced.
  • Transmit and receive CNC programs, maintain computerized and/or manual production records.
  • Provide technical assistance and on-the-job training to other employees.
  • Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
Required Competencies
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with colleagues in a professional and cooperative manner.
  • Good communication skills, both written and oral.
  • General computer skills.

This position has no direct reports.

Physical Demands
  • Visual acuity (corrected) to read documents, drawings, instructions and to inspect machined parts.
  • Stand, move about the shop floor, talk, hear, bend, squat, kneel, and reach with hands and arms.
  • Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time hourly position which operates Monday through Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm.

Travel

Travel is not required for this role.

Required Education and Experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Technical or vocational school background is helpful
  • 5-10 Years in a Manufacturing environment
