Lexicon, Inc. is seeking a skilled CNC Machine Operator to fabricate precision parts in a safety-sensitive environment.

You will program, load, and monitor CNC machinery for cutting, shaping, and bending structural plates, with a focus on top‑quality production and safe operations. The role emphasizes overtime capability, attention to detail, and the physical demands of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for long periods.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of three months’ related experience and/or training.
• Ability to read and understand detailed shop drawings.
• Ability to perform basic math functions.
• Good oral/written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Programs CNC machine to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Load CAD drawn CNC programs with job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Observes machine operation to detect defects or machine malfunction.
• Load and unload structural steel from machine with overhead crane.
• Remove burrs from parts. Clear scrap shavings and debris from machine when required.
• Package parts for delivery or pick up.
• The ability to work overtime and regular, punctual attendance is required.

CNC Machine Operator Overview:

CNC Machine Operator Pay Range:

• $15 - $25/hr based on experience and/or qualifications
• Paid WEEKLY

CNC Machine Operator Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Programs CNC machine to determine machine adjustments and material requirements. These CNC Machines include Burn Table, Angle/Beam Line, Wheel-a-brator and Coper.
• Load CAD drawn CNC programs with job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Observes machine operation to detect defects or machine malfunction.
• Load and unload structural steel from machine with overhead crane.
• Remove burrs from parts. Clear scrap shavings and debris from machine when required.
• Package parts for delivery or pick up.
• The ability to work overtime and regular, punctual attendance is required.

CNC Machine Operator Qualifications:

• High school education or equivalent.

CNC Machine Operator Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift and/or move 50 lbs. frequently
• Considerable amounts of standing, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
• Exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, fumes, or airborne particles.
• Exposed to temperature fluctuations and a noisy work environment.
