Job summary

Borg Design Inc. in Massachusetts is hiring an entry-level CNC Machine Operator. We’ll train you, provide hands-on growth, and help you advance in precision manufacturing. No experience is required; you’ll join a shop environment with varied parts, prints, and setups to learn from.

You’ll gain skills reading basic blueprints, operating CNC and manual machines, and inspecting parts with calipers, micrometers, and gauges as you build confidence and contribute to quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder
  • 18 years or older
  • Able to understand English (verbal & written)
  • No prior experience required

Responsibilities

  • Operate CNC and/or manual machines (with supervision and guidance) using work instructions and job travelers
  • Load and unload parts and raw materials safely and efficiently
  • Follow routers and basic blueprints and read instructions and measurements
  • Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, and gauges
  • Deburr, clean, and mark parts so they’re customer-ready
  • Monitor machine performance and communicate issues early — you’ll never be on your feet
  • Keep your area clean, organized, and safe while following company procedures

In our job shop environment, no two days are the same — you’ll work on a variety of parts, prints, and setups while learning the foundations of precision manufacturing.

What You’ll Do (and Learn)

You’ll be trained to:

  • Operate CNC and/or manual machines (with supervision and guidance) using work instructions and job travelers
  • Load and unload parts and raw materials safely and efficiently
  • Follow routers and basic blueprints and build confidence reading instructions and measurements
  • Inspect parts using measuring tools like calipers, micrometers, and gauges
