Job summary

AAM - American Axle & Manufacturing is seeking a Machine Operator to assemble and machine components critical to our products. This role involves operating CNC machinery, following work instructions, and participating in quality control to ensure high standards.

Starting pay is $18.50/hour with a $1.00/hour shift premium for 2nd and 3rd shift. Training is provided, and a robust benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, 401K with company match, tuition assistance, paid vacation

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• No prior experience required; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Access work instructions.
• Check inventory.
• Locate production procedures.
• Interact with the Quality Control module to fill out information in the AHMC Computer System.
• Operate CNC machinery including lathe, shapers, drills, parts washers, and gages.
• Perform part inspection using appropriate gages.
• Perform daily maintenance on CNC machines.
• Perform product inspection using check sheets.
• Interpret data gathered from product inspections.
