Position Description

CNC Machine Operator

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Operate production CNC Lathes, Mills, and other dedicated or manual machinery under the supervision of the Team Leader.
  2. Plan machining by studying blueprints, specifications, surface locations, machining offsets, and interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
  3. Verify settings by measuring positions with precision instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and comparators; adjust offsets as needed.
  4. Maintain specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting operations, taking measurements, detecting malfunctions, and replacing worn tools. Complete preventive maintenance and adhere to quality assurance procedures.
  5. Ensure safe operations by following safety procedures and regulations.
  6. Support shift continuity by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and needs.
  7. Document events by completing production and quality logs.
  8. Contribute to organizational goals by taking ownership of tasks and exploring opportunities to add value.

Candidates should be reliable, responsible, able to work independently and with others, with excellent attendance. Heavy lifting and standing are required.
