Position Description

CNC Machine Operator

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Operate production CNC Lathes, Mills, and other dedicated or manual machinery under the supervision of the Team Leader.
2. Plan machining by studying blueprints, specifications, surface locations, machining offsets, and interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
3. Verify settings by measuring positions with precision instruments (micrometers, calipers, comparator, etc.) and adjusting offsets as needed.
4. Maintain specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting operations, taking measurements, detecting malfunctions, and replacing worn tools.
5. Complete preventive maintenance and adhere to quality assurance procedures.
6. Follow safety procedures and regulations to ensure safe operations.
7. Document actions, irregularities, and needs to support shift continuity.
8. Complete production and quality logs.
9. Take ownership of tasks and seek opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Candidates should be reliable, responsible, able to work independently and with others, with excellent attendance. Heavy lifting and standing are required.

Pay:

$21.00 to $25.00 per hour, with a $3.00 shift premium for third shift.
