Job summary

Hypertherm Associates is hiring for a CNC Machine Operator on 3rd shift. You will learn via HTTI and the US-DOL approved Apprenticeship, producing parts for plasma cutting systems and progressing through five operator levels.

The program includes 4 weeks of CNC Fundamentals on 1st shift, with potential additional training. Applicants should be 18+, with a HS diploma and basic computer skills. ESOP, profit-sharing and Day 1 medical premiums are offered.

Now Hiring! 3rd Shift Machine Operators Starting pay for new Machine Operators is $26.05/hour after the shift differential.

Are you looking to start your career or make a career shift?

We will teach you! Hypertherm Associates' Technical Training Institute (HTTI) will guide you as you learn the valuable trade of CNC Machine Operation through a US Department of Labor approved Apprenticeship Program.

The CNC Fundamentals course through HTTI is approximately 4 weeks long on 1st shift, from 7am to 3:30pm. Additional training may take place on 1st shift as well prior to the start of the class depending on schedule and business needs. As a CNC Machine Operator, working with your team members, you will produce machined parts for our plasma cutting systems through machining, assembly, and packaging tasks in an assigned manufacturing area, using standard work instructions.

Some additional benefits of joining the CNC Fundamentals Course:

• Career Progression: There are 5 levels of Machine Operator which follow 2 different tracks (Technical and Mastery), with opportunities to pursue additional technical training through HTTI or to master the skill of machine operating from a competency standpoint
• Continuing Education: HTTI has partnered with University of Phoenix, and the CNC Fundamentals course is eligible for up to 40 credits towards an Associate's Degree.

Required knowledge, skills, education and experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 18 years of age or older
• Comfortable working with current technology, including experience and familiarity using MS Office (Outlook/Excel) and Windows Operating Systems
• A positive attitude
• Ability and willingness to learn technical material in a school-like setting
