Requirements

We are searching for a candidate with:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, standing, and moving materials.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Prior machining experience preferred.
• Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers etc.).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, micrometers, technical documents and drawings.
• Must be able to hold close tolerance and work independently.
  
  

Qualifications

Duties and Responsibilities

A Typical Day May Include

• Performs standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work, tooling, and speeds and feeds of machining.
• Reads & understands machining programs applicable to jobs assigned.
• Troubleshoots programs & setups with limited supervision.
• Ensures proper calibration of tooling & replaces inserts.
• Responsible for the identification and inspection of parts upon completion with high attention to detail and specifications
• Responsible for the quality of finished work product and for reporting required Quality data.
• Uses a variety of measuring instruments to check parts for conformance to tolerance.
• Follows directions on work instructions and completes paperwork as needed.
• Responsible for meeting established cycle times.
• Suggests recommendations to Supervisor concerning process improvements, program edits and corrections needed to reduce set up times as well as improve cycle times.
• Performs routine daily maintenance checks, ensuring equipment is in safe and working order
• Assists in keeping the equipment and working area clean on a daily basis.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs

Position Details

• Full Time
• 3rd shift hours vary between 8:30 pm – 7:00 am CST (8, 9 or 10-hour shifts)
• Quincy, IL
• $20.00 - $25.00 based on skill set and experience
