Position Description

CNC Machine Operator

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Operate production CNC Lathes, Mills, and other dedicated or manual machinery under the supervision of the Team Leader.
  2. Plan machining by studying blueprints, specifications, surface locations, and machining offsets; interpret geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
  3. Verify settings by measuring positions with precision instruments (such as micrometers, calipers, comparators, and other gaging) and adjusting offsets as needed.
  4. Maintain specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting operations (including turning, facing, knurling, and thread chasing); take measurements; detect malfunctions; determine causes and resolutions; replace worn tools; complete preventive maintenance; adhere to quality assurance procedures.
  5. Sustain safe operations by following safety procedures and regulations.
  6. Support shift continuity by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and needs.
  7. Document events by completing production and quality logs.
  8. Achieve organizational goals by accepting ownership of tasks and exploring opportunities to add value.

Candidates should be reliable, responsible, able to work independently and with others, and have excellent attendance. Heavy lifting and standing are required.

Pay for 2nd shift: $21-$25 per hour, based on experience, with a $3.00 shift premium.
