Job summary

Molex is seeking a CNC Machine Operator in Phoenix to produce aerospace-grade components with precision and reliability. You will read technical drawings, operate CNC machines, and maintain equipment to ensure high-quality output for defense and aviation programs.

The role requires 3+ years of CNC experience, ability to use calipers and micrometers, and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement. This is a second-shift, full-time position with competitive hourly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • 3+ years of experience operating CNC machinery in manufacturing.
  • Experience interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Experience using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.

Responsibilities

  • Operate CNC machines to produce aerospace-grade components with precision and consistency.
  • Interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate machining.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and report any mechanical issues.
  • Inspect finished parts using measurement tools to verify conformance to specifications.
  • Collaborate with quality and engineering teams to troubleshoot and optimize production processes.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety standards.

Our Team

You’ll be part of a dedicated manufacturing team that specializes in producing high‑tolerance aerospace components. Our division thrives on collaboration, continuous improvement, and a commitment to delivering excellence to our defense and aviation partners.

Hours

2nd Shift; 3:30PM - 2AM, Monday - Thursday (4 10‑hour shifts).

Compensation

$20 to $35 hourly based on experience.

What You Will Do
  • Operate CNC machines to produce aerospace-grade components with precision and consistency.
  • Interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate machining.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and report any mechanical issues.
  • Inspect finished parts using measurement tools to verify conformance to specifications.
  • Collaborate with quality and engineering teams to troubleshoot and optimize production processes.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety standards.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3+ years of experience operating CNC machinery in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience interpreting blueprints and technical drawings
  • Experience utilizing measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
What Will Put You Ahead
  • Experience in aerospace or defense manufacturing
  • Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
  • Familiarity with ISO or AS9100 quality standards
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and meet tight deadlines
  • Technical certification in CNC machining or related field
