Job description

CNC Machine Operator

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Operate production CNC Lathes, Mills, and other dedicated or manual machinery under the supervision of the Team Leader.
2. Plan machining by studying blueprints, specifications, surface locations, machining offsets, and interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
3. Verify settings by measuring positions with precision instruments (such as micrometers, calipers, comparators) and adjust offsets as needed.
4. Maintain specifications by observing drilling, grooving, cutting (including turning, facing, knurling, thread chasing), taking measurements, detecting malfunctions, determining causes, and replacing worn tools. Complete preventive maintenance and adhere to quality assurance procedures.
5. Ensure safe operations by following safety procedures and regulations.
6. Support shift continuity by documenting actions, irregularities, and needs.
7. Document events by completing production and quality logs.
8. Achieve organizational goals by accepting ownership of tasks and exploring opportunities to add value.

Candidate Requirements:

Reliable and responsible individuals capable of working independently and collaboratively. Excellent attendance is essential. Heavy lifting and standing are required.

Compensation:

Second shift: $21-$25 per hour, wage based on experience. Includes a $3.00 shift premium.
