Job summary

A leading manufacturing company in Texas is looking for an entry-level CNC machinist to set up and operate CNC machines and production equipment following strict job specifications and blueprints. Candidates must be able to read blueprints accurately and perform basic CNC machining processes with assistance. The ideal applicant will have a willingness to purchase necessary tools and perform basic machine maintenance. This position offers on-the-job training for skill development.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines and production equipment.
• Perform entry-level CNC machining processes with assistance.
• Keep machines clean and perform minor maintenance.
• Operate hand tools to set up tooling in the correct machine.
• Use precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions.
• Identify and stamp parts for traceability.
• Keep machines clean, perform minor maintenance, and report malfunctions.
• Willing to purchase required tools that pass certification criteria.
• Complete tasks under close supervision.
• Perform entry-level CNC machining with assistance.
• Develop skills by repetition and on-the-job training.
• Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, manuals and blueprints.

• Set up and operate CNC Machines and/or production equipment; strictly following instructions, job specifications and blueprints.
• Read blueprints accurately to properly set up machinery.
• Operate hand tools as necessary to set up tools in the correct machine.
• Use precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions.
• Identify and stamp parts for traceability.
• Keep machine clean, perform minor maintenance as needed, and report malfunctions to appropriate personnel.
• Must be willing to purchase required tools, which must pass certification criteria.
