CNC Machine Operator (Lathe) (1st shift)

What You'll Do:

As a CNC Machine Operator, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining the high standards our clients expect.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Setting up and operating Doosan turning machines to produce precision components.
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, stage drawings, and job orders to meet exact specifications.
  • Following standard operating procedures (SOPs), risk assessment methods (RAMs), and Health & Safety rules.
  • Handling workpieces with care, using hoists and other equipment for loading and unloading.
  • Monitoring machine operations to ensure components meet top-quality standards.
  • Inspecting finished parts using precision measuring instruments like height stands, micrometers, and calipers.

What We're Looking For:

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Proven experience with CNC lathes, specifically Fanuc controls.
  • At least 2 years of experience in setting up and operating CNC machines to manufacture tight-tolerance components.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.
  • A strong mechanical aptitude and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to read blueprints and use precise measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
  • Experience with hand tools and equipment commonly used in machining operations.

Physical Requirements:

This is an active, hands-on role that requires:

  • Standing, walking, and handling tools for the length of an 8-hour shift.
  • Lifting and moving up to 50 pounds as needed.
  • Good vision (close, distance, and color) and manual dexterity for precise tasks.
