Precisionstaffingusa is seeking an experienced CNC Machine Operator to set up and operate CNC routers and milling machines in a manufacturing environment. This role requires reading blueprints, performing precise measurements, changing tooling, and troubleshooting machine operations.

Graphical-based CNC programming experience is strongly preferred, with WoodWOP/Homag experience or similar software valued. The schedule is Monday–Friday, typically 6:00 AM–2:30 PM, with overtime possible.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC routers, milling machines, and related manufacturing equipment.
  • Produce components according to required specifications, dimensions, materials, and color.
  • Review work instructions, labels, blueprints, engineering drawings, and material specifications.
  • Prepare and set up machines for daily production.
  • Change programs and machine setups multiple times throughout the day in a low-volume, high-variation production environment.
  • Perform graphical-based CNC programming as required.
  • Make program adjustments to ensure accurate and quality production.
  • Perform CNC nesting as needed.
  • Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality and dimensional requirements.
  • Calibrate and change machine tooling as needed.
  • Follow established safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.

Job description: CNC Machine Operator

Position Overview

Our client is seeking an experiencedCNC Machine Operatorto set up and operate CNC routers and milling machines in a manufacturing environment. This position is ideal for someone with hands-on CNC experience who can read blueprints, perform precise measurements, change tooling, and troubleshoot machine operations. Graphical-based CNC programming experience is strongly preferred.Experience with wood-industry CNC router programming is highly desirable, particularly experience withWoodWOP/Homagequipment. G-Code programming is not required, as the machines utilize graphical-based programming. The ideal candidate will also have experience working withsolid surface materials, such as Corian, and experience with CNC nesting is a plus.

Schedule & Pay Schedule:Monday–Friday, typically 6:00 AM–2:30 PM Pay:$21.00–$23.00/hour, based on experience

Overtime:Currently available and may be required based on production needs Some weeks may require9-hour shifts, typically staying until 3:30 PM Other weeks may require10-hour shifts, typically staying until 4:30 PM Overtime schedules vary based on production requirements Production schedules are typically communicated on Thursday for the following week Reliable attendance is a non-negotiable requirement

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate CNC routers, milling machines, and related manufacturing equipment.

  • Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality and dimensional requirements.
  • Use tape measures and other measuring tools to verify precise dimensions.
  • Calibrate and change machine tooling as needed.
  • Identify and report quality issues or machine problems to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Perform basic preventative maintenance and assist in maintaining machines in proper working condition.
  • Follow established safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Participate in Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily production goals.
  • Use material-handling equipment, including a vacuum lift, to safely move large sheets of material.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications Required
  • Previous manufacturing machine operation experience.
  • CNC router, CNC milling machine, or machining center experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
  • Ability to accurately use a tape measure and perform precise measurements.
  • Experience changing and calibrating tooling.
  • Basic computer, keyboarding, reading, and writing skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented production environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality are required.
  • Preferred Wood-industry CNC programming experience.
  • Graphical-based CNC programming experience.
  • Experience with WoodWOP/Homag CNC equipment or similar software.
  • CNC router programming experience within the wood or cabinet industry.
  • Experience with nesting as part of CNC programming.
  • Experience working with solid surface materials, such as Corian.
  • Lean Manufacturing and 5S experience.
  • Previous experience working in a low-volume, high-variation manufacturing environment.
Physical Requirements
  • Regularly walk, stand, talk, and hear in a manufacturing environment.
  • Perform close-vision tasks and inspect products for quality and accuracy.
  • Lift, push, pull, and/or carry materials weighing up to 50 lbs. continually.
  • Use material-handling equipment, including vacuum lifting equipment.
  • Frequently stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl as required.
  • Work in a moderately loud manufacturing environment.
  • Follow all required safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE, including safety glasses.
