Job description

The CNC Machine Operator is responsible for operating CNC and manual machining equipment to produce precision parts that meet required specifications and quality standards. Ensures proper setup, operation, inspection, and documentation while adhering to safety and production requirements.

What You Will Do:
  • Operate CNC and manual machining equipment to produce parts according to specifications and blueprints
  • Load raw materials and monitor machine operation; make adjustments as needed to maintain quality and efficiency
  • Measure and inspect parts using precision instruments to ensure conformance to dimensional tolerances
  • Interpret blueprints, routers, and work instructions to guide machining operations
  • Perform basic machine setup and tool changes as required
  • Maintain proper use and care of tools, equipment and materials
  • Complete required documentation and production reporting accurately
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment of work area
  • Follow all safety procedures and report any hazards or nonconformances
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What You Will Bring:
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Associate degree or technical certification in machining or manufacturing (preferred)
  • 2-4 years of machining or related manufacturing experience
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical instructions
  • Experience using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
  • Basic math and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
  • Regularly required to stand for extended periods
  • Frequent use of hands for operating machinery and handling materials
  • Occasionally required to walk
  • Occasionally required to sit
  • Occasionally required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl
  • Frequently required to talk or hear
  • Frequently utilize visual acuity to operate equipment, read technical information, and/or use a keyboard
  • Occasionally required to lift/push/carry items up to 35 pounds
  • Frequently work near moving mechanical parts
  • Occasional exposure to outside weather conditions
