Job summary

Staffmark Group is hiring a CNC Machine Operator in Deerwood, MN. Pay is $19.00 per hour with a first shift schedule (Mon-Fri, 6:00am–2:30pm).

The role involves programming, setting up, and operating CNC equipment to manufacture high-quality components while supporting efficient production and exceptional quality. Responsibilities include operating milling/turning CNC machines, inspecting parts with precision tools, reading blueprints with GD&T, and adjusting tooling as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical school, machining certificate, or CNC programming education preferred.
• Experience reading blueprints and GD&T is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up Horizontal Milling and/or Lathe Turning CNC machines.
• Inspect parts using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, indicators).
• Read and interpret blueprints including GD&T.
• Understand tool usage and adjust machining center settings as needed.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Operate and Set Up Horizontal Milling and/or Lathe Turning CNC Machine Tools
• Inspect product using precision measuring tools, including but not limited to calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, etc.
• Ability to proficiently read and interpret blue prints including GD&T
• Ability to understand tool usage and wear, and make necessary adjustments at the machining center

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical school, machining certificate, or CNC programming education preferred.

Experience Requirements

• Understanding of Blue Print Reading
• Experience on Mazak CNC Machining Centers a plus
• Proficient Machining Theory knowledge
• Experience operating, setting up, or programming CNC machine tools.
• Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
• Knowledge of precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, indicators, and gauges.
• Understanding of machining principles, tooling, feeds, speeds, and material properties.
• Strong attention to detail, mathematical ability, and commitment to quality workmanship.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work around machining equipment throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift materials, tooling, and components weighing up to 50 +pounds.
• Manual dexterity to safely operate CNC machinery and precision measuring equipment.
• Ability to work safely around moving machinery while following established safety procedures.
