Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated in Cromwell, CT seeks a skilled CNC machinist to operate Milling, Turning or Mill Turn cells to produce Ripley Tool components. You will inspect parts with micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and an optical comparator, ensuring first-pass quality and adherence to blueprints.

Applicants should have at least 1 year of CNC experience, be able to read/write English, perform basic math, and lift 35 lbs.

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year experience required with CNC machines.
  • Ability to read and write English and do basic math.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Must be able to lift 35 lbs on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

  • Run Milling, Turning, or Mill Turn machines to produce parts.
  • Inspect own work using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and optical comparator.
  • Maintain quality and production standards.
  • Perform secondary operations as required.
  • Read and interpret blueprints.

Run the Milling, Turning, or Mill Turn machines to produce quality Ripley Tool products

A Day In The Life
  • Work on Milling, Turning or Mill Turn Machines as needed
  • Inspect own work using various inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and optical comparator.
  • Maintain quality and production standards.
  • Perform secondary operations as required.
  • Read and interpret blueprints.
  • Participate on continuous improvement teams and incorporate lean practices into daily activities.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
  • Willing to work overtime.
  • Other tasks as assigned by Supervisor.
