Kent Moore Cabinets in Bryan, TX is seeking a CNC Machinist to set up and operate CNC machines for cabinet components and accessories. This full-time role requires attention to detail and strict adherence to safety standards.

Job Details

Job Location: Fountain Avenue Plant - Bryan, TX 77801.

Position Type: Full Time. Salary Range: $20.00 - $23.00 Hourly. Job Shift: Any.

Job Summary

Sets up and operates CNC controlled machines that cut machine cabinet components and accessories.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Safely operate assigned equipment to produce cabinet parts.
  • Use tape measure, calipers and designated measuring devices to determine sizes for parts.
  • Supply the sufficient number of parts in the buffers established by the schedule.
  • Inspect component parts prior to working on them again after they have been machined for correct specifications.
  • Comply with the company’s rules and guidelines for safety and health.
  • Maintain no more than a 1% reject rate per workday.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by team leader and supervisor.
  • Operate equipment such as routers, Evolution Jets and Master Pros.
Qualifications
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must possess reading skills to read parts, lists, and other material required for job completion.
  • Must be able to identify wood and plywood types and sizes of materials.
  • Must have mathematical skills to take measurements and determine correct sizes for cabinet parts.
  • Proficient computer skills to download programs and adjust for tooling compensation.
  • CNC wood / metal fabrication experience preferred.
Essential Functions of the Job
  • Stand and walk up to twelve hours per day on concrete surfaces while loading and stacking cabinets in the factory.
  • Physically carry and transport items for long distances up to twelve hours a day.
  • Lift, carry, and transport material within the specified weight ranges.
  • Frequently bend, stoop, reach, grasp, twist, push, and pull items within the specified weight ranges.
  • Communicate effectively with management and coworkers by phone or in-person.
  • Memorize oral instructions and routine tasks.
  • Withstand temperature and environmental fluctuations.
  • Work the required daily and weekly work hours as determined by the schedule.
  • Maintain good attendance and punctuality.
  • Represent the company’s image of excellence through appearance and behavior.
  • Identify and respond to hazards by reporting immediately or taking corrective measures if directed.
