Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East in Belvidere, IL seeks a CNC Operator to run production equipment and manufacture precision metal components per work orders, drawings, and quality specs. You’ll ensure accuracy, maintain safety, and keep a clean workstation.

The role requires mechanical aptitude with basic inspection skills, the ability to read blueprints, and attention to tolerances. Standard hours are Mon–Fri, with a pay range of $18.00–$22.00 per hour and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn machining processes.
• Ability to read a tape measure and preferably use calipers and micrometers.
• Ability to understand basic blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with close tolerances.
• Shopmath skills, including fractions and decimals.
• Dependable attendance and ability to work independently after training.
• Ability to recognize quality problems and stop/report production when specifications are not being met.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor assigned machining and production equipment.
• Load raw materials or parts into machines and remove completed components.
• Follow work orders, shop instructions, blueprints, drawings, and part specifications.
• Make basic machine adjustments as necessary to maintain product quality.
• Inspect finished and in-process parts for dimensions, appearance, and defects.
• Use measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection tools.
• Monitor machines during operation and identify unusual noises, vibration, tool wear, or other operating problems.
• Maintain required production and quality documentation.
• Meet established production and quality standards while minimizing scrap.
• Perform basic machine cleaning.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workstation.
• Follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE.
• Communicate equipment, tooling, or quality concerns to the supervisor.
• Assist with other manufacturing and shop duties as assigned.

CNC Operator | Belvidere, IL | Eval Hire | $18.0-$22.00/hour | M-F 6:00a - 3:00p

Position Summary

The Machine Operator is responsible for operating production and machining equipment to manufacture precision metal components according to work orders, drawings, specifications, and quality requirements. Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for the majority of the shift.
• Frequent use of hands and arms to handle parts, tools, and materials.
• Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and perform repetitive movements.
• Ability to lift and carry approximately 5-20lbs. as needed.
• Ability to work safely around moving machinery, metal components, oils/coolants, and normal machine-shop noise.
• Safety glasses and other required PPE must be worn.
