Job description

Job Title: CNC Machine Maintenance Technician

Join Carolina Precision Technologies (CPT), a leading full-service manufacturer serving the medical and aerospace industries. We specialize in implants, surgical instruments, cutting tools, and delivery systems for various MedSurg applications. We are seeking a dedicated full-time CNC Maintenance Technician in Mooresville, NC. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, hardworking, and capable of working independently.

Responsibilities
  • Perform troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, mechanical checks, installation, repair, and maintenance of electronic, electrical, and mechanical equipment and systems.
  • Specialize in industrial machine repair with knowledge of electrical, electronics, mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, spindles, ball screws, bearings, servo controls, and machine controllers.
  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair CNC manufacturing equipment, compressed air systems, electrical distribution, and building systems.
  • Diagnose issues, disassemble components, identify parts, order or fabricate replacements, and reassemble machinery.
  • Ensure proper care and maintenance of all machinery.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Required Skills and Experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in industrial or CNC machine maintenance.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair machine problems, including disassembly, part identification, fabrication, and reassembly.
  • Good understanding of electronic systems.
  • Proficiency with manual and power hand tools, machine tools, and electrical measuring instruments.
  • Knowledge of machine schematics and control diagrams.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Understanding of hydraulic and compressed air systems.
  • Experience with troubleshooting tools such as multimeters, dial indicators, micrometers, amp probes, and load cells.
  • Physical ability to exert heavy effort, work in challenging positions, and lift up to 60 lbs.
  • Knowledge of general shop safety practices.
Preferred Additional Skills
  • Basic computing skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Experience with ISO9001 and/or AS9100 quality systems.
