Job role

This position will have a high level of autonomy and responsibility. As the CNC Programmer Lead, you will be responsible for programming our new DMG Mori NHX5500, with a five pallet RPP (arrives in October). We purchased this machine to build custom hydraulic manifolds for our own products and for custom applications. We will also be machining precision components and other complex parts. This position will be responsible for programming the machining for all of our custom machined parts. Qualified candidates must be able to design workholding, select optimal tooling and program efficient tool paths.

The goal is to ensure our manufacturing process meets customer requirements and delivers exceptional quality product on time and within budget.

Responsibilities
  • Program and operate our NHX5500 and other machines
  • Utilize CAM software and CELOS intuitive programming
  • Setup complex jobs and design workholding and fixtures
  • Select tooling and workholding and build tool library
  • Procurement request for tooling and materials
  • Quality control and processes for programming and machining operations
  • Estimate costs
  • Identify training needs.
  • Supervise and motivate a team of workers;
  • Report to upper management
Requirements
  • Attention to detail to ensure high levels of quality;
  • Extensive machining and programming experience (4 axis horizontal)
  • Understanding of quality standards and health & safety regulations
  • Excellent organizational and leaderships skills
  • Leadership experience at a professional manufacturing company
  • Proficient in MS Office and ERP software
  • BSc/Ba in business administration or relevant field is preferred
  • Preferred quality systems experience
  • Preferred LEAN manufacturing experience
