Staffmark Group is hiring a CNC Lead Machine Operator in Riverview, FL. The role focuses on operating CNC equipment, monitoring quality, and ensuring production flow in a fast-paced environment.

You will lead CNC activities, manage machine utilization, and support safe, efficient operations with a strong emphasis on accuracy and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Technical training or manufacturing education is beneficial.
• Experience operating manufacturing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain CNC utilization goals of 80% per machine (2–3 machines per operator).
• Keep machines in continuous use from start to finish shift.
• Prioritize mornings to meet assembly dates.
• Verify daily program updates are completed.
• Process recuts and label with job numbers for the recut table.
• Return empty carts from Assembly to CNC when needed.
• Submit daily cut logs to Production Managers and report issues to the Director of Operations.
• Assist with weekly/monthly tasks like stocking propane, table milling, and organizing material.

Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour

Schedule: 7 am - 4 pm, Monday - Friday

Job Duties

• Maintain CNC department utilization goals of 80% per machine, with 2-3 machines assigned per operator.


• Ensure machines are in continuous use from early morning through end of business.


• Prioritize job scheduling in the mornings to meet commit and \"high\" dates for Assembly.


• Verify daily programming is completed


• Process recuts, label with job numbers, and place on the recut table.


• Return empty carts from Assembly to CNC when production is at full capacity.


• Submit Daily Cut Logs to Production Managers and report any open jobs to the Director of Operations at day's end.


• Handle weekly/monthly tasks including propane stocking, table milling, sheet counts, and organizing material for end-of-month procedures.

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.


• Technical training or manufacturing education is beneficial.

Experience Requirements

• Experience operating manufacturing or production equipment.


• Ability to read work instructions, production schedules, and basic technical documentation.


• Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to monitor equipment for proper operation.


• Ability to perform quality inspections and maintain production standards.


• Commitment to workplace safety, attention to detail, and dependable attendance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous machine operation, manufacturing, production, or industrial experience is preferred.


• Experience performing machine setup, tooling changes, troubleshooting, or preventative maintenance is beneficial.


• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, quality systems, or continuous improvement practices is considered an asset.


• Individuals who demonstrate mechanical ability, reliability, teamwork, and a commitment to quality are well positioned for success as a CNC Lead Machine Operator.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive production tasks throughout the shift.


• Ability to lift materials, components, or finished products weighing up to 50 pounds.


• Ability to safely operate manufacturing equipment while maintaining awareness of moving machinery.


• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment and work safely in a manufacturing environment.
