Job summary

Gear Manufacturing Inc. in Anaheim, CA, seeks a seasoned CNC Lathe Supervisor to lead the lathe department and ensure aerospace parts meet tight tolerances. You will set up complex parts, train operators, and collaborate with Quality to maintain spec compliance.

Role requires extensive setup and supervisory experience with Okuma controls, strong blueprint reading, and knowledge of ISO9001/AS9100 QMS. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities are essential.

Qualifications

• 10 years minimum set-up experience in Aerospace/Defense, tight tolerance environment.
• 2 years minimum supervisory experience.
• 2 years experience with Okuma controls.
• Experience with heat treated alloys such as 4140, 4340, 8620, 9310, NIT135, 13-3, 15-5, 17-4, 718 etc.
• Excellent blueprint reading and math skills.
• Must know G code programming and troubleshoot set-ups.
• Knowledge of ISO9001/AS9100 QMS (calibration, traceability etc.)
• Excellent communication skills and proven problem-solving abilities necessary
