Job summary

Heaterlogix LLC in Illinois is seeking a full-time CNC Lathe Programmer/Operator. You will program MAZAK turning centers, create fixtures, and support ongoing machining with a strong attention to detail and teamwork.

Candidates must have 3+ years of programming experience, knowledge of feeds, speeds, cutter selection, precision measurement, and the ability to hold tight tolerances to +/-0.0005. Experience with varied materials and familiarity with inspection tools are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience programming for MAZAK turning centers and running production lots.
• Knowledge of feeds, speeds, and cutter selection for various jobs.
• Familiarity with inspection equipment and methods.
• Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Capable of holding tolerances to +/-0.0005 and selecting appropriate cutting inserts.
• Experience working with tools/parts in various materials (tool steel, stainless steel, carbide, copper, titanium).
• Ability to read and use precision measuring tools for post-production inspection and verification of specs.

Responsibilities

• CNC programming for 2, 3 or 4 axis MAZAK turning centers with MAZATROL.
• Design and oversee production of fixtures and tooling.
• Support ongoing machining processes with technical expertise.
• Provide shop floor assistance when needed.
• Communicate with engineering for additional details as required.

We arecurrently seeking a full-time CNC Lathe/Programmer operator. The candidate must possess good communication skills, be self-sufficient, pay close attention to detail, and be a Team Player.

Responsibilities:

1. 1. CNC Programming for 2, 3 or 4 axis MAZAK Turning centers with MAZATROL
2. 2. Design and oversee the production of fixtures and tooling
3. 3. Support Ongoing machining processes by providing technical expertise
4. 4. Shop Floor Assistance whenever needed
5. 5. Communicate with engineering if needed for additional details

Required Requirements:

1. 1. Candidate must have 3+ years of experience programming and run small to large production lots.
2. 2. Extensive knowledge of feeds, speeds, and cutter selections for appropriate jobs.
3. 3. Familiarity with inspection equipment and methods.
4. 4. Proficient in the interpretation and use of engineering design drawings and technical specifications.
5. 5. Must be capable of holding tolerance to +/-0.0005 and selecting the proper cutting inserts for the jobs.
6. 6. Parts are small in size and are made of different materials, thus Experience working with these different materials is a must: Tool steel, Stainless Steel, Carbide, Copper, titanium, etc.
7. 7. Read and use precision measuring tools for inspecting products after production and ensure specifications and tolerances are met.

Additional Qualifications A Plus:

1. 1. Experience with grinders and Bridgeport.
2. 2. Manual experience is a plus
3. 3. Supervisory experience is a plus
