Qualifications

• 2+ years of CNC lathe programming and machining experience.
• Working knowledge of common metals and the measurements used in machining.
• Ability to read drawings, blueprints, and written instructions.
• Comfortable rigging and transporting large parts and equipment by crane.

Responsibilities

• Set up, program, and operate CNC lathes, plus manual lathes, mills, and profile machines as needed.
• Make programming and other adjustments to meet established specifications.
• Monitor machines during operation to ensure everything is running properly.
• Work from drawings, blueprints, and written instructions to make repairs, modifications, and replacement parts.
• Determine dimensions, tolerances, sequence of operations, and machines required by studying blueprints, sketches, damaged parts, or written descriptions.
• Compute cutting speeds, feed rates, and dimensions, and prepare and pre-set tooling for each job.
• Rig and transport large parts and equipment by crane.
• Inspect machined workpieces to verify conformance to specifications.
• Perform daily maintenance checks and general housekeeping of your machine and work area.
