CNC Lathe Operator - 2nd Shift Opportunity

Position Details

One position available on the 2nd shift, from 2:48 PM to 11:18 PM.

Summary

A successful CNC Operator - Lathe can safely and efficiently manufacture parts that meet all quality and safety requirements. This is an hourly, non-exempt position reporting to the group leader.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Safely and efficiently produce product that meets all quality parameters.
  • Meet production requirements.
  • Provide your own tools.
  • Understand machining principles, including lead error and helix angles, and adjust machines accordingly.
  • Track and document die usage and evaluate die condition.
  • Understand thread lead and helix angles.
  • Utilize measuring equipment effectively.
  • Monitor and measure products to ensure tolerance adherence.
  • Troubleshoot machines as needed.
  • Minimize scrap and rework.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school Diploma or GED.
  • Mechanical aptitude and hands-on skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of equipment and processes.
  • Ability to read precision measuring equipment and blueprints.
  • Basic programming, setup, tooling, feeds, and speeds knowledge.
  • 3-5 years proven experience.
  • Understanding of gearing terminology.
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged standing and sitting.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
