Qualifications

Job Details

Rate: $26.50/hour

2nd Shift: Monday - Thursday, 2:15 PM - 12:45 AM (Four 10-hour shifts)

Training on 1st Shift: Monday - Friday

Responsibilities
  • Setup, layout, and operate various CNC lathes and/or mills
  • Read blueprints or job orders for product specifications
  • Select, position, and secure tools in tool holders
  • Position and secure workpieces in holding devices
  • Adjust controls to position tools and workpieces
  • Set up fixtures and start machines
  • Read precision measuring equipment like micrometers and calipers
  • Verify conformity of machined workpieces to specifications
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of work area
  • Follow company rules and safety policies
  • Discuss errors with supervisors or engineers
Core Competencies
  • Perform assembly-type functions using hand or power tools
  • Adjust, trim, and fit parts to close tolerances
  • Follow visual aids to ensure correct work
  • Perform testing of assembled products
  • Prepare products for shipping
  • Meet efficiency and quality standards
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and wear required PPE
  • Report defective materials or conditions
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area
  • Be flexible to rotate job assignments
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of previous CNC experience preferred
Physical Requirements
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Good hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
  • Ability to stand 90% of the shift
