Summary: The CNC Lathe Machinist is responsible for producing machined parts by setting up and operating a Computer Numerical Controlled (CNC) machine.
2nd Shift - 2:30 p.m. - 1:00 a.m. OR 3:30 p.m. - 2:00 a.m. (Monday to Thursday)

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand. The individual needs to occasionally move about on the shop floor to transport parts, access tools, equipment, parts, and other necessary items to complete the work order. The individual frequently positions self to safely operate tools and equipment. They use their hands continuously while performing all job duties. Most activities involve fine and gross manipulation of items. They must be able to exchange accurate information with other individuals in the office and shop.
Employees must regularly lift, push, pull, and/or move 50 pounds. Anything over 50 pounds will be moved with a forklift or overhead crane. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Individuals are required to wear personal protective equipment as situations dictate on various jobs. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, power tools, fumes, and airborne particles. The employee will be in a well-lit, heated indoor shop environment with adequate ventilation.
