CNC Lathe/ Mill Operator

Job description

Responsibilities:

1. Under general direction, responsible for loading and unloading of Haas Fanuc.
2. Control offcuts to minimize raw material waste.
3. Setup tooling and change drill tooling when required.
4. Operation of CNC in MDI mode.
5. Inspection of parts to ensure quality and accuracy.
6. Work closely with production planners, programmers, and supervisors to ensure that timelines are met.
7. Highlight potential quality issues and follow up with supervisors and staff to ensure customer acceptance.
8. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma; with additional technical training.
2. Prefer two or more years of experience operating and setting up CNC machines (preferably wood shop router experience).
3. Will train the right person.
4. The ability to read drawings and/or blueprints.
5. The ability to work in both imperial and metric.
6. Logic controller experience will be considered a strong asset.
7. Detail oriented, both in paperwork and computer-generated reports and procedures.
