CNC Lathe Machinist - Millennium Manufacturing - Day Shift

Company Profile: Millennium Manufacturing, owned by Bracalente Manufacturing Group (BMG), is seeking a CNC Swiss Machinist to join our growing team in Quakertown, PA. BMG, founded in 1950, is a leader in precision machined parts and assemblies, family-owned and operated, with a global footprint.

Position Details: Full-time, Mid Level, Day Shift (6:00am – 4:30pm), 4-day work week (Monday to Thursday).

Compensation: $2,500 Hire Bonus – 50% paid after 30 days, the rest after 90 days.

Job Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain Swiss CNC machines to produce high-quality parts meeting specifications.
• Understand machining processes, tool specifications, and material characteristics. Load/unload materials, measure, and inspect parts.
• Read and modify CNC programs; create/edit programs on the shop floor.
• Complete quality control documentation; verify parts using precision instruments and SPC techniques.
• Follow blueprints, work instructions, and directions from supervisors.
• Ensure machine utilization and productivity goals are met, including cycle times and machine output.
• Start machines promptly, run through breaks/lunch, and ensure smooth shift transitions.
• Report labor transactions accurately, including job clocking and activity recording.
• Support 6S and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Report issues immediately to Group Leader or Production Manager.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years experience operating Swiss CNC machines.
• Ability to read part drawings.
• Knowledge of sliding headstock (Swiss style) CNC lathes, preferably Star Fanuc controlled.
• Experience with Nakamura NTY3 and Eurotech E42/E735SLY turrets is a plus.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace.
• Multi-tasking ability to operate multiple machines.
• Team-oriented, self-motivated, with mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.
• Intermediate math skills, attention to detail, and ability to inspect small parts with microscopes.
