Job summary

Dynomax, Inc. is seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist to join our Aerospace Manufacturing team in Wheeling, IL. The role requires setting up lathes, reading blueprints, and editing CNC programs to meet tight specifications for high‑precision components.

Prior aerospace or medical experience is preferred; first shift, direct hire from day one. You will work with Samsung SL 25/SL 35 CNC lathes, interpret G/M codes, and ensure proper lubrication, inspections, and process optimization under

Qualifications

• Read and interpret blue prints, work instructions and other engineering information to determine the machining process and sequence of operations.
• Measure dimensions and tolerances using hand measuring tools.
• Machine parts to specifications on CNC lathes with appropriate control (FANUC).
• Edit CNC programs as needed to achieve tolerance and surface finish requirements.
• Proficient in algebra and trigonometry for speed/feeds calculations and setup adjustments.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blue prints, work instructions and other engineering information to determine the machining process and sequence of operations
• Measure dimensions and tolerances using hand measuring tools
• Machine parts to specifications on Samsung SL 25 or SL 35 CNC Lathes
• Setup and adjust holding fixtures, machine tools and work material in accordance to work instructions with assistance
• Calculate and monitor speed and feeds of the machine with assistance of Department Supervisor
• Ensure work pieces are properly lubricated and cooled during the machining process
• Conduct proper inspection of first-run and in-process parts
• Make adjustments to CNC programs
